There are two things myself and WORSHIP THE SACRIFICE have in common…
We both come from London and we caused a brief upset at Coalitionfest 2025 (it was one member who shall remain anonymous).
The details are unimportant, but what is, is their upcoming EP, titled VEIL OF REVELATIONS is about to befall us pitiful mortals with little regard for collateral damage.

After much chatter among the London death scene, and many a drop dead live set, the capital city’s quartet are about to bring forth a murderous menagerie of monumental metal.

WORSHIP OF SACRIFIC will tell you their sound is chaotic, but I feel they are more curative in their ‘any and all’ death stance. By taking what turns them on and tipping it in the broth, they make music that is everyman and unique.
Darker than a crow’s nutsack, and with an acute sense for the epic, the follow up to 2024’s Prophecy Of Demise EP is a step beyond comfort zones and a leap into more grand yet sinister territory.

The biggest change since that 2024 EP is recruiting of their new second guitarist, Gus Kim, who was also given the honour of writing intermission, middle track, BEHIND THE VEIL. A pseudo folk, acoustic instrumental with a harmonious and melodic electric lead running through. It settles you in to cleanse the palette for what is to come…

With an almost classic thrash moment in the intro, EVOLVE does just that, with a blasting, blackened bit of death metal. If there were any symphonic undercurrents, one would suspect Behemoth were involved. It is obvious nobody in the band were sitting on their hands between releases.

CRYSTAL offers a sadistic slice of calculated dissonance while allaying those wounds with chantable vocal hooks and grandiose moments of space. Vocalist Laz does a terrific job bringing drama to the song.

With the sort of energy that comes from a collapsing neutron star, INDIGO EYES delivers a melodic fever dream of fury and inspiration. While the music morphs throughout, lyrically, we have a song of empowerment and charge to judge beyond the horde. As much as it appears to be a homage to the Northern European bent, INDIGO EYES is a cast of its own mold.

If anybody was looking for the chaos that WORSHIP THE SACRIFICE stock and trade, go no further than their rather unhinged cover of the Arch Enemy classic, NEMESIS. It took a couple of listens but , in the end, I got it. At any moment during the song, it seems as if it’s only a matter of time before the wheels come completely off, but they hold fast and we end up with a surprising rendition of a melodeath anthem.

The EP finishes with SHOW THEM THE LIGHT, a bombastic call to arms, although these arms are open.
With meaty riffs, churning power and a chunky breakdown, we get a song of acceptance to change and to challenge powerful injustice.

A dynamic show of talent and a keen eye for detail is all on show on VEIL OF REVELATIONS, as well as a hint of that WORSHIP THE SACRIFICE mischief.
Tightly played and produced, it is a revelation of a release when it is unveiled on the 9th of April.

The track INDIGO EYES is available now on their Bandcamp. Click HERE to hear that and preorder the EP. It will also be on major streaming sites.

The band will also play an EP launch set at The Fighting Cocks in Kingston Upon Thames on the 11th April, with Lies, Deathscripted and Scaphist.
