Something so full of horror and twisted evil comes our way….
And that’s exactly what will arrive in your ears this Friday, as the new Blacklist Album – With Murderous Intent is released on the world.
Now the Blackpool Thrashers have come along way since there conception, starting as a Tankard tinged party thrash band, adding a Halloween cover of Ray Parker Jr/Xentrix Ghostbuster, before line up changes pushed guitarist Tyler into the vocal slot in time for their debut album – Disciples Of Time.
Now, Disciples was a cracking debut release, full of great ideas and nods towards thrash and crossover forefathers, but ‘With Murderous Intent’ is something different once again, it’s still a thrash album at it’s core, but it’s been penetrated by death and black influences, so whilst you get your Slayer and Exodus tinged riffs, you also pick up on some Atheist and Nocturnus type depth and feeling within the tracks that makes the songs feel rich and enveloping when played uncompressed over what we old people call ‘The Big Stereo’
This is 10 tracks of Horror inspired assault, feel the fear grip you as you journey through the 50 minutes of darkness that envelopes this album, who is that breathing near wrecked neck? is it Jason? Freddie? or a Xenomorph?
Recorded mixed and mastered in Blacklists home/own studio Tone Death Media in Blackpool, has allowed the band to nurture their sound, experiment with mixes and fettle away… and whilst that process has taken some time, with the risk of the tweaking never ending…the results are more than worth it

Nobody is entitled to anything in this game, especially in a genre as niche as thrash and death metal, but with this release Blacklist have moved their chair over to the main table and are ready to take a bite out of anyone who stands in their way… maybe with a nice chianti!!
