South West Crossover Kings Overpower burst back into our eardrums with their new EP, Becoming The Tyrant…. Let’s Goooooo!!

This three track EP, picks up nicely where their self titled 2022 EP left off, and at only 11 minutes long it doesn’t hang around – Opening track ‘Smite’ kicks things off nicely with a blend of growls and clean vocals, slamming guitar, a nice little breakdown made for a quick two step and some chug that will make you gurn.. Next us ‘They Came From Beyond’ continues to tear us up… a thrashier number with some huge riffs before its slows down in places to trigger a good old stomp around the mosh pit

Last but no means least is the single from this all too short EP… Terra Firma.. which has had criminally to few listens on YouTube… so get on that right now!!

Now you ‘pure’ thrash heads, may not like this EP, or Overpowers style of Crossover, as it definitely leads more to the hardcore side of delivery, at times.. but that’s all good with us as these lads could sit on a riff filled bill with everyone from Exodus, to Guilt Trip through to Terror and we’d happily destroy our old bodies in the pit!
