Dark Cookie reviews a re-release of a song originally donated to Moshin’ The Roof On Volume 4 by our friends in Sidewinder… here’s a bit more…

There really is only one thing you need to know about SIDEWINDERS new single release Friday 6^th July is because if you go to the UK Thrashers Bandcamp page, you can buy a digital copy of this mighty re-recoding of their fine track “Moral Turpitude” and not only will you be the proud owner of said slab of Crossover Death – Thrash, you will be helping the homeless as all proceeds go to this year’s Moshin The Roof fundraising for Shelter.  You all have bought Moshin The Roof On Vol.4?  If not why not? Well for one thing you can get this and many more amazing tracks physically too.  Go and buy it the track and the Vol4 CD you know you HAVE to. 

And when you find out these lads are from Yorkshire, the very fact they gave the track to UK Thrashers for nowt in the first place tells you what a decent and thoroughly non-Yorkshire bunch they are!  That’s it I can never set foot in god’s own country again!

And if that is not enough of a reason for ya, it is a very strong new version of a banging song. For me it is a proper Thrasher at breakneck pace. This version features the “new boy” Damo on suitably dirty vocals, and he tears it a new one.  And that isn’t to say the rest of the lads are a bunch of slackers, oh no!  drums – excellent, throbbing bass – check.  And man! those guitars, damn they have groove. So, get the pit going, get your phones out and get buying!
