The Manchester mosh merchants maintain momentum mixing maladies with melodies.

As a race, us humans are a delicate breed. If not for what we invent, we are doomed in our own fragility. And no more so than what we carry in our minds.
Joy is fleeting but aggressively addictive, and any number of stimuli is craved and fed veraciously to keep any anxieties and self loathings away.
We all carry and create ourselves as armour and shields against our own invented paranoia, but to know your own demon is a war fought alone.

So what, you ask, is the point of this quasi-psychology? It appears that the band, BEYOND SALVATION, have encountered some of these fields of inner battle, and kept a diary.
Extreme music, when exploring introspective matters, explores self loathing, angst and frustration. Sometimes we are given insights into a songwriter’s psyche, but seldom do we explore the crutches or coping mechanisms more deeply. Addiction and distractive consumption is like putting fresh paint on a rotting wall, but it is the easy fix, no matter what the problem is…

With their debut album, BEYOND SALVATION asks some hard questions, and explores the hardest road on THE FINAL NAIL, ten tracks of hard hitting thrash with an hardcore honesty in its subject matter.
While the theme of the album is centered around addiction, with the hurdles and hardships around defeating them, each song is a narrative as opposed to the sum of a whole story. I don’t know if any of the songs are biographical but they are well researched and worded from the heart.
Played with urgency, tracks are dealt short shrift where delicacy is concerned. A delicious mix of thrash mayhem and hardcore attitude is pounded and produced to dizzying effect.
Tales of resolution and redemption are countered with stories of self doubt and soul searching. All honestly told, earnestly composed and heavy as all hell.
If you ignore the subject matter, you have a feisty fight club of pugilistic metal. Take in the lyrics and the result remains albeit with added poignancy.
BEYOND SALVATION have proven before how they can entertain, and with THE FINAL NAIL, they have shown how they can enlighten as well.

THE FINAL NAIL is releasing 29th of May on all major streaming sites and will be available on the band’s Bandcamp, or pre save it HERE.
