Review – Worship The Sacrifice – The Bloodletting (single)

Neil Bolton gets his Death Metal on with the new single from Worship The Sacrifice

So what comes across my desk is a British death metal track along with cool old school  cover art.

It’s a powerful riff that opens this 3.17 minute track, and it’s fast and frantic. It menacingly trucks along then death metal vocals rain down to open the song, and we are off. This start to the track is  blasting and powerful enough to hold your attention. It’s not long before we get a pace change, and it’s got a little groove, It’s not a break down as such but it does slowdown to a throb before the speed kicks in at an even higher pace. Pace is important here, because it’s quick and sharp.

A guitar solo sits over the punishing riff joined once more by the very high quality death metal grunts, growls and vocals .

The lyrics scream of crimson mists and going blind, parting flesh and digging around.  The words combined with the music can cause bruises or even worse injuries.  To be honest Worship The Sacrifice cause just about the right amount of death metal brutality you hope for and would slice veins for.

This leaves the listener thinking about more.

Bloodletting is out today.. stream it HERE.. or just watch the lyric video below
