This was one of those nights where you just get hit with heavy music back to back and walk out with your ears ringing. Four bands, loads of energy, and a great atmosphere all around.

Opening the night, Deathscripted, a deathcore trio from London, showed clear potential. Drawing influence from bands like Fit For An Autopsy their set was packed with punchy riffs and solid energy. You can tell they’re still finding their full groove on stage, but the foundations are definitely there and they are solid. A band to keep an eye on for sure.

Scaphist, Deathcore band from the Isle of Wight, delivered what was arguably the standout performance of the night. Having previously heard their EP, it was great to see how well their material translates live. Their set combined tight technique, crushing riffs, and powerful vocals, all backed by an energy that carried through the crowd. An impressive performance from start to finish.

Worship the Sacrifice brought something completely different to the stage, pure chaos and entertainment with face paint, fake blood, and a witchcraft-inspired aesthetic while promoting their new EP Veil of Revelations. It was as entertaining visually as it was musically. The absence of a live drummer was noticeable though, and could have added an extra layer of intensity to their already wild set.

Closing the night, Lies, a hardcore band from the Netherlands, proved exactly why they were headlining. With a raw “fuck this shit up” attitude, they delivered a tight, no-nonsense set that hit hard from beginning to end. Their experience showed, and the crowd responded in keeping the pit alive and the energy high the whole time.

Overall, it was a great night of discovery and a good chance to finally put faces to names from online conversations. The sense of community was strong, loads of familiar faces, good vibes all around, and exactly what the scene is all about.
