Releasing 19th March, 2026
Once again, the most generous of people at DC Sound Attack give me another ear bashing with a sneaky beak of the new single from Manchester moshers, BEYOND SALVATION.
There is a saying I heard about rules. If you can’t break them, try making your own.
It’s worked for metal for nearly 6 decades and now, it appears that for the Manchester outfit BEYOND SALVATION, they simply give not a toss about rules and deliver metal however they want.

Consisting of Jon Pedley (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Arun Kamath (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals), Luke Entwistle (Bass, Backing Vocals), and Owen Ashworth (Drums), BEYOND SALVATION play metal without tags or trends.
It’s done them good service, too. Since 2013, it’s luckily had them release thirteen original songs in as many years with an independent mindset and hard live presence. Notably, their return to Thrashchester 26 in November.
Now, the number rises to 14 with the imminent release of their latest single, titled INCARCERATE. A pounding bit of fighting thrash spirit with groove that harks to the days of Chaos AD, Burn My Eyes And Vulgar Display…

Raw, crushing guitars are given plenty of bottom end from full and fat bass playing, while the drums are a blizzard of stick snapping fury.
Behind the unfiltered aggression lies a message of empowerment.
As Jon Pedley, the band’s vocalist and guitarist puts it. “Although much of the song sits in a darker, more downbeat space lyrically and emotionally, the real core of it comes through in the bridge line, ‘give me the strength’”
He continues. “That moment is essentially the turning point of the track. It represents a person finally becoming aware of the weight they’ve been carrying – past mistakes, self-doubt, bad decisions, or patterns they feel trapped in – and reaching a point where they actually want to break free from it. It’s less about defeat and more about recognition.
“…It’s about the internal fight to move forward – asking for the willpower to confront what’s been holding you back and to stop repeating the same cycles.”

Being of a fiercely independent nature, INCARCERATE is self produced and mixed, with Pedley even providing the cover art (which he has since the beginning).
From this, there is a certainty in the UK metal scene that is undeniable. With bands like BEYOND SALVATION prepared to put real hustle in their art, it can only lead to a healthy scene indeed.

INCARCERATE, the single, will release on all streaming platforms on the 19th of March. The music video for the song premieres the same day on YouTube.
