Seventeen years after their last release, Soulfracture roar back to life with a triumphant return, and what a comeback that is. Their new EP, The Leader of the Exploited (out November 7th), is a four-track storm of thrash, deathcore, and melodic death metal; an epic fusion executed with relentless energy and grandeur that draws you in from the very first intro.

From the start, the EP title track “The Leader of the Exploited ” confines you in an explosive symbiosis of thrash and death metal, with deep, commanding vocals that grow more powerful with each song. The riffs are razor-sharp and carefully constructed, but it’s the drumming that truly stands out: furious, impeccably precise, and constantly pushing the pace into exhilarating realms. Nowhere is this more evident than in “My Immolation,” a truly epic track where the double bass drumming and blistering thrash rhythms practically demand a circle pit, delivering an adrenaline rush that’s impossible to ignore.

“Call from the Void” opens with a monumental intro and haunting dual vocal effect, then marches forward with breakneck tempo and intricate melodies, culminating in a superb breakdown and a vocal performance that leaves nothing behind. The EP’s final track “Genocide of Man” channels the spirit of any finest melodic death metal band, closing the record with a violent, melodic surge that endures long after the last note fades.

The EP’s artwork it’s sleek and simple, picturing a demon / devil adorned with a saint’s halo and bound in barbed wire. This stark image captures the metaphor of the “Leader of the exploited,” visually echoing the EP’s themes of struggle and defiance.

The Leader of the Exploited is not just a return for Soulfracture..it’s a rebirth.
