Chaos – Preserved Decay (Single) – Review

A review by The brutal Commander.

Straight off the four count youre punched in the jaw with the fattest death metal riff, filled with brutal and violent rage.  Grinding at your cranial cavity the heavy guitar tones drill into your skull and as they break through the fleshy surface low gutteral vocals hammer that bit all the way through and into the mush for brains youre left with.

Listening to Chaos’ first offering  PRESERVED DECAY is like what i imagine it feels like to be loose change in the pocket of a metalhead in the midst of a moshpit. The song remains unrelenting throughout and consistently feeds the listener a feast of maggot infested meaty soundwaves right til the last bite.

The guitars are raw and chainsaw-like in their tone, beefed up by the bass which creates a brutal sound that any death metal lovers will be throwing their heads back and forth to. The vocals are expertly laid into the mix with beastly execution. The production is great for a DIY band’s first release and sets a high bar for what they continue to bring out! Overall i really love this track it gives everything you can possibly love about extreme metal without any pretence. This is why i love extreme metal so much! It hides behind nothing, baring itself in its true form and you either love it or you fuck off its thats simple.

I’m giving PRESERVED DECAY 9 macerated organs out of 10! Excited to hear more from CHAOS!
